The Salt Cave
Not only has Halotherapy (Dry Salt Therapy) been found to improve respiratory health and overall wellness, it also is energetically grounding and cleansing, providing a wonderfully relaxing environment that calms the nervous system as you breathe in the micro-particles of dry pure sodium chloride (salt). Salt is anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory and super absorbent (especially when dry).
Your 45-minute session allows time for relaxation, meditation and energy balancing, along with the therapeutic properties of salt.
This dry salt is placed into a halogenerator that grinds the salt into specific micro-sized particles, and disperses the salt aerosol into the air inside the Salt Cave. When inhaled, the salt naturally absorbs allergens, toxins and foreign substances present in the lungs and respiratory tract. Dry salt may help to reduce inflammation and open airway passages.
Dry salt therapy can impact those suffering from respiratory conditions like allergies, asthma, bronchitis, cystic fibrosis, COPD, etc. It also absorbs impurities and provides anti-bacterial properties that may benefit skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and eczema, etc.
The climate in a dry salt room is maintained at certain temperature and humidity levels and ensures proper ventilation to maintain the efficacy of the salt therapy and provide a ‘clean-air’ environment for our clients.

Built by hand by owner, Deanna Fike and store manager, Kessler, along with the help of friends and family, our salt cave boasts 10,000 pounds of salt, offering a unique whole-body wellness experience. When Deanna first moved to Jacksonville, she experienced debilitating sinus infections, allergies and asthma. After one visit to a salt cave she saw tremendous improvement and relief of her symptoms. After years of driving long distances to the nearest salt room, Deanna decided to open up her own in the center of town.
Seven years later, Earth Salt Stone became a reality and remains the only salt cave in Jacksonville, and a source of peace, gathering, belonging and wellness in the community
This facility is owned and operated by a Certified Halotherapist. Halotherapy is recognized as a safe and effective wellness practice for preventive and restorative health care. It is not a medical treatment and does not offer a cure! Halotherapy is not recommended for people with contagious diseases, fever, open wounds, lung cancer, severe hypertension, certain mental disorders and active tuberculosis.
